Share it live

Send a link and your team joins the same document, every cursor on the page, in real time. Your agent edits right alongside them, in the same lane.

Early access. Live sharing is rolling out gradually. Email support@codraft.app to get on the list.

The flow

  1. Open the document you want to share.
  2. Click Share in the document's top-right, then Share this document live.
  3. Copy the link and send it to whoever you want editing with you.
  4. They open it in codraft and join the same live document. The link stays the same, so they can rejoin later.

To stop, open the Share control and click Stop sharing. The session ends for everyone, and each person is offered a copy to keep.

What you'll see

  • Presence avatars in the top-right for everyone in the room, people and your agent, as overlapping circles.
  • Live cursors on the page, each labeled with the editor's name and color, moving and typing as they edit.
  • Comments from anyone in the room appear in the comments panel as they're added.
  • Your agent is a participant too: when it edits or replies to a comment, its work streams in live with its own clay caret, right beside everyone else.

Everyone edits at once. Changes merge as they happen, so there's nothing to reconcile and no "who has the latest copy" question.

How it stays yours

The shared session syncs edits between the people in the room while it's open. Your document still lives as a plain Markdown file on the owner's disk, and we never read its contents.

Tips

  • The owner hosts. Sharing runs while the owner has the doc open; closing it or clicking Stop ends the session for everyone.
  • Bring your agent in. Ask it to draft or address comments while teammates edit other sections, so everyone works in parallel.
  • Reuse the link. A document's share link is stable, so you can share it once and reconnect anytime.
