Ask it to review

When you're at the "is this any good?" stage, ask your agent to read the whole document and leave you comments on the parts that need work. You get a focused list of suggestions, anchored to specific lines, that you can accept or ignore one at a time.

It's the same gesture as handing a draft to a colleague and getting it back with margin notes.

How to ask

Open the chat panel and give your agent an objective. The more specific, the more useful the review:

  • Review for clarity, tighten any weak lines, and flag anything that needs evidence.
  • Read this PRD and tell me what a senior engineer would push back on.
  • Find inconsistencies between the goals section and the implementation plan.

What you'll see

Your agent reads the document, then:

  1. Highlights the lines it has questions about in clay.
  2. Drops a comment thread anchored to each highlighted line, with a short explanation: "Vague, quantify this", "Conflicts with §2", "This sentence does the work of two."
  3. Replies in the chat with a one-line summary so you know it's done: "Read it. Left two suggestions on the lines that need work."

The comments panel on the right opens automatically so you can scan all the feedback in one view.

Triage the feedback

Each comment is a normal thread, you can:

  • Reply to push back or ask for the rewrite.
  • Resolve to accept the note as read and move on.
  • Reopen if you change your mind.

A common workflow: skim every comment, resolve the ones you disagree with, then ask the agent "address the open comments", and it will rewrite each flagged line in place. See Comment, and it acts for how that loop works.

Tips

  • Set a single goal per review. Asking for clarity and tone and fact-checking at once usually produces a noisier set of comments. Run separate passes.
  • Tell the reviewer who they are. "Read this as a skeptical investor" or "Read this as a junior engineer who needs the context spelled out" changes what gets flagged.
  • Re-review after revisions. Once you've worked through the first pass, ask for another, the second sweep usually surfaces issues the first one didn't.
